You can make these caramelized baked pears in the air frier in less than 15 minutes! Baked Pears are an unexpectedly delicious and healthy snack, plus they’re super easy to customize with your favorite toppings.
REASONS TO LOVE THIS HEALTHY VEGAN SNACK
I’ve been seeing air fried pears recipes like this one all over on TikTok and to be honest, I was kiiinda skeptical. It looks like one of those “healthy” snacks that just leaves you craving a chocolate bar immediately afterwards, but you guys….these are awesome!
- Quick and healthy vegan snack
- No refined sugar
- Pears are a great source of soluble fiber
- Easy to customize with fun toppings like nut butters, granolas, dried fruit and spices like cardamom or vanilla powder
HOW TO MAKE AIR FRIED PEARS
Step One
The full recipe can be found on the recipe card below, but here’s a quick overview to give you an idea!
I start by slicing the pears in half and scooping out the seeds.
👩🏻🍳 PRO TIP: I use a melon baller like this one to easily scoop out the seeds. It create a perfectly circle that looks professional but I like it because it creates a well for lots of coconut yogurt or vegan whipped cream!
Step Two
Then I sprinkle the pears with cinnamon and stick them in the air frier for about 12-15 minutes. During that time they intensify in flavor and caramelize slightly around the edges which is delicious!
👩🏻🍳 PRO TIP: These recycled, bio-degradable, non-toxic air frier basket liners make clean up very quick and easy! I love them.
Step Three
Once the pears are done cooking, I drizzle on a generous drizzle of the MAPLE MISO TAHINI SAUCE top with a dollop of coconut yogurt and a sprinkle of crunchy chopped pistachios.
I know this looks simple but wow! The caramelized pears, the salty sweet sauce, and the nutty crunch from the pistachios really comes together to create some unexpected delicious….and surprisingly healthy too!
Ingredients
- Pears – any medium sized pear you like will work! I used Anjou.
- Cinnamon
- Tahini – I love this one but in general I look for a thin, runny tahini that is salted and light in color.
- Maple Syrup
- Miso Paste – any light colored miso will work. I use this chickpea miso and it’s so versatile. Plus it’s a great soy free option for those of you with allergies!
- Almond Milk – unsweetened works best
- Coconut Yogurt – I use Culina’s Plain + Simple Coconut Yogurt. You could also serve these pairs with vegan vanilla ice cream or some coconut whipped cream! Any option would be delicious but I like that the yogurt offers a little tang and since it’s unsweetened, it helps balance the juicy pears and sweet sauce.
- Pistachios – or anything crunchy really! I love pistachios but almonds, pumpkin seeds, granola…all great options!
TASTES LIKE
- Warm cinnamony pears
- Creamy Salted Caramel thanks to the Maple Miso Tahini Sauce (which I started making years ago after seeing Venetia LaMana use it on her oatmeal! It’s really versatile)
- Slightly nutty
- Cool, creamy and tangy from the coconut yogurt

RECIPE FAQs
Yes! Place the pears on a cookie sheet and bake in the oven at 375 degrees for 12-15 minutes. Again I recommend using a liner on the cookie sheet like this silicone version or parchment paper because the pears will release their juices while baking – which is great for flavor but not so much for cleaning up since become sticky when baked onto the pan!
Yes! I find that pears tend to be a little softer than apples so you may want to air fry or bake them for a little bit longer to make sure they’re cooked all the way through. Also pears tend to be a little sweeter than apples so a drizzle of maple syrup or brown sugar would be a nice addition!
