My two ingredient Jasmine Iced Green Tea is a refreshing homemade beverage that can be made in advance and enjoyed all week long. Lightly floral and slightly sweet, this antioxidant rich iced tea is my go to mid afternoon pick me up in the Summertime.

A lot of iced tea recipes will have you make your own simple syrup, as it’s easer to mix a liquid sweetener into tea. But I find that agave is a great ready-to-use option and it doesn’t compete with the delicate flavor of the Jasmine Tea.

Pour this homemade Jasmine Iced Tea over a cup filled with ice and get ready to feel relaxed and refreshed with just one sip. It’s good stuff. I hope you enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 8 cups water
  • 4 Jasmine Green Tea Bags
  • light agave , to taste, measurements below

Instructions

  • Steep the tea bags in 8 cups of boiling water for 3 minutes.
Then carefully remove the tea bags and sqeeze the excess water into the pot of tea before discarding.
Allow the tea to cool for a few minutes so that it's not too hot to taste and then add the agave.
I use 2 tablespoons of agave but I've seen recipes that call for up to 1/2 of a cup of liquid sweetener so add the amount that tastes best to you.
Stir to dissolve the agave completely, then allow the tea to cool and refrigerate until ready to serve.

Serve

  • To serve this iced tea, fill your favorite cup or tumbler up with ice. I mean, completely up to the top with ice, it makes a big difference!
Then pour over the cooled tea and enjoy!
